Dear Idahoan and Neighbor,

I am a mom, business owner, outdoor enthusiast, and former elementary school teacher who believes in conservative government in Idaho.   I am stepping forward to work for you, my community, and Idaho.

Sincerely,

Codi Galloway

My Vision

I’m passionate about a lot of things!  Below are three topics in particular where I feel I have experience and desire to get involved and make a difference for everyday Idahoans.

Education

Improving education, at every level, is one of Idaho’s greatest opportunities. As a former public school teacher and the owner of a private school, I know the power of an exceptional education. Education advances skillsets, unlocks opportunities, and changes lives. Let’s make this a priority in Idaho.

Low Taxes

Property tax is out of control in Boise. I will work hard to find a solution that protects homeowners and ensures growth pays for itself. I believe in low taxes.

Business

Business is the engine of our economy; my vision for business in Idaho is lower taxes and less regulation. Government’s job is to create a safe and supportive environment and then get out of the way so the invisible hand can make the magic happen.

About Me

Elementary School Teacher

After graduating from BYU, I got my first job as a public school teacher. For three years, I taught kids how to think for themselves, use data to solve problems, and communicate effectively. My favorite part of teaching was helping kids find their individual strengths and capitalize on what each student exceled in.

Wife and Mother to Four Kids

I married my high school sweetheart, Scott Galloway, and we came back to Boise to start our family.  Our first three kids were born in under four years! I got to be their stay at home mom. I loved being with them even if it did mean goldfish and chicken nuggets for lunch most days.  Raising young families requires patience, problem solving, and organization.   Those years with my little kiddos in tow were some of the most challenging but absolutely the most rewarding years of my life.

Outdoor Girl

I love to be outside!   You might catch me with my kids on skis at Bogus in the winter or Lucky Peak in the summer.   We like them both!  In the past few years, I have been racing Spartans with my husband, the Boise Ironman with my friends, and climbing mountains with my family.  Connecting with people outside and being active brings me great joy.  Sunday mornings you’ll find me with my family in church.  I have been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints all my life.

American Dream

Profitable Business Owner

When my kids went off to Pioneer Elementary, I decided I was ready to go back to school too.  Instead of returning to the public school system, I started my own school.  Together, with my husband, we opened LeapFox Learning on the corner of Eagle Rd and Fairview.   With hard work, a few mistakes, and some good mentoring we grew LeapFox into one of the largest technical training schools in Idaho.

I count building a profitable business from scratch to sale as one of my key accomplishments.  I lived the American dream and now have a deep admiration for all those who take risks and work long hours with or without a paycheck to keep our economy rolling.

Representing My Boise Neighborhood

I was born to a fighter pilot dad and a patriotic mom.  From the time I was a little girl I was taught to honor and respect the freedom we enjoy in America; I love the USA and am proud to have called Idaho home for the past 40 years.  I went to kindergarten in this district and will watch my oldest son graduate from Centennial High School this spring.   My husband and I chose to raise our family where we grew up, because we love our community!   Idaho is a great place to live, work and play, but if we are not careful, we will become an over-governed, red tape state, with high taxes and not the education we hope for our children.

I am conservative mom, teacher, and business owner who is committed to keeping Idaho a great place to be!
